Course Overview

The General Medicine (MBBS equivalent) program at Tambov State University offers an integrated six-year curriculum that combines biomedical sciences, clinical training, and modern educational technologies. Students initially study anatomy, physiology, histology, medical chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, and pharmacology before progressing into organ-system medicine and clinical specialties. The university emphasizes practical learning through simulation centres, clinical laboratories, and structured skills development that prepare students for direct patient care.

Clinical education is delivered in affiliated hospitals where students receive supervised experience in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, cardiology, neurology, infectious diseases, and emergency medicine.
