Course Overview
The General Medicine (MBBS equivalent) program at Maykop State Technological University is designed to provide future physicians with a solid grounding in medical sciences while emphasizing practical clinical training throughout the six-year curriculum. Students study anatomy, histology, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical genetics during the pre-clinical phase before advancing into specialized clinical disciplines. Practical education includes laboratory-based learning, simulation exercises, and structured clinical skills training that prepare students for direct patient care.
Clinical rotations are conducted in affiliated hospitals where students gain supervised experience in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, cardiology, neurology, infectious diseases, and emergency medicine. The curriculum also promotes medical ethics, preventive healthcare, and scientific research, enabling students to combine academic knowledge with practical clinical experience. Graduates complete the program with the competencies required for postgraduate medical education and professional healthcare practice.
Entry Requirements
- Academic Qualification: Minimum 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in 10+2 / Senior Secondary Examination (40% for SC/ST/OBC categories as per Indian regulatory norms).
- Age Limit: Must be at least 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the admission year.
- NEET Score: Mandatory qualification in the NEET-UG exam for Indian citizens planning to practice in India under NMC regulations.
- Language Proficiency: Proof of English proficiency or high school instruction in English (IELTS/TOEFL is not required for most Russian state medical institutions).
- Academic Certificates: 10th & 12th Mark sheets and passing certificates.
- NEET Scorecard: Official scorecard demonstrating NEET-UG qualification.
- Identification: Valid passport with at least 18–24 months of validity remaining.
- Medical fitness certificate from a registered practitioner.
- HIV negative test report (issued within 3 months of departure).
- Photographs: 10–12 passport-sized photographs (3.5 × 4.5 cm with white background).
- Official Authorization: Birth certificate, university invitation letter, and notarized Russian translations of all documents.
