Course Overview

The 6-year General Medicine (MBBS equivalent) program at Tyumen State Medical University emphasizes competency-based medical education with a strong focus on clinical decision-making, simulation technologies, and interdisciplinary healthcare. The curriculum begins with anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, medical genetics, and molecular biology before progressing to pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, and clinical diagnostics. Students receive extensive hands-on training in modern simulation centres where they practice emergency procedures, patient examinations, and communication skills before entering clinical settings.

Clinical education is delivered through affiliated hospitals and specialized healthcare institutions, providing supervised experience in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, cardiology, endocrinology, and emergency medicine. The program also incorporates evidence-based medicine, preventive healthcare, and research-oriented learning, enabling students to apply scientific knowledge to patient care.
