General Medicine – RU

Course Overview

The 6-year General Medicine (MBBS equivalent) program at RUDN University is internationally oriented and designed to prepare students for medical practice in multicultural healthcare environments. The curriculum integrates foundational biomedical sciences—including anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, molecular biology, pathology, microbiology, and pharmacology—with early clinical exposure and competency-based learning. A distinguishing feature of the program is its multicultural academic environment, where students from numerous countries study together while gaining experience in patient communication and cross-cultural healthcare delivery.

Practical training is strengthened through advanced simulation centres, clinical skills laboratories, and digital learning technologies before students begin hospital rotations. Clinical education is conducted in leading Moscow teaching hospitals across internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, cardiology, neurology, oncology, emergency medicine, and other major specialties. The curriculum also promotes scientific research, evidence-based medicine, and interdisciplinary collaboration, enabling graduates to develop strong diagnostic reasoning, practical competence, and the adaptability required for postgraduate medical education and international healthcare careers.
