General Medicine – PRMU

Course Overview

The 6-year General Medicine (MBBS equivalent) program at Privolzhsky Research Medical University combines classical medical education with a strong focus on scientific research, innovation, and modern healthcare technologies. Students initially study anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, molecular biology, pathology, and pharmacology before progressing into integrated clinical disciplines. A key strength of the curriculum is its close connection with research institutes and university clinics, allowing students to observe how biomedical discoveries translate into patient care.

Practical training includes simulation-based learning, laboratory diagnostics, and supervised clinical rotations in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, oncology, cardiology, and emergency medicine. The program also introduces digital medicine, medical imaging, and evidence-based clinical practice, helping students develop advanced diagnostic and analytical skills. Through continuous clinical exposure, research participation, and interdisciplinary learning, graduates are well prepared for residency training and evolving healthcare environments.
