Course Overview

Situated in Bharatpur, Chitwan, the College of Medical Sciences delivers a clinically intensive MBBS program affiliated with Kathmandu University. The course begins with two years of integrated preclinical studies in anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, and pharmacology, paired with introductory clinical skills training.

Clinical clerkships take place within its 1,005-bed teaching hospital, a major regional referral center providing high patient turnover in trauma care, interventional cardiology, oncology, general surgery, and pediatrics. The curriculum includes community health field postings and a 1-year compulsory rotating internship, ensuring graduates accumulate high-yield procedural and diagnostic experience.
