The Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Program at TUCOM California is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by COCA. The curriculum combines organ-system basic sciences, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM), global health options, and Bay Area clinical rotations.

Graduates receive the title of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (COMLEX-USA / USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • 10+4 accepted w/ evaluation; 90+ semester hours or Bachelor required.
  • MCAT required (508+ target); TOEFL iBT for foreign degrees.
  • Bio (8 Credit Hours), Gen Chem (8 Credit Hours), Org Chem (8 Credit Hours), Physics (8 Credit Hours), Behavioral Sci.
  • The primary applicant pool consists of U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. The Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) program does not currently maintain an active F-1 student visa sponsorship pathway for incoming international students.
  • Applicants applying through the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service (AACOMAS) should submit either a Committee Evaluation Packet or three individual Letters of Recommendation (LORs). At least one recommendation letter from a licensed physician (MD or DO) is required to verify the applicant’s exposure to clinical practice and readiness for osteopathic medical education.
