Course Overview

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at Weill Cornell Medical College is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME.

The curriculum features a 1.5-year preclinical phase, early clinical entry, dedicated longitudinal research projects, and clinical clerkships at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Graduates receive the title of Medical Doctor (MD), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • 10+4 accepted w/ evaluation; Bachelor degree required.
  • MCAT required (519+ target); TOEFL iBT / IELTS if non-native.
  • 1 semester Math/Stats; Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem, Biochem, Physics.
  • International applicants, including F-1 student visa holders, are welcome to apply. As part of the admissions process, applicants must provide verified proof of financial support sufficient to cover the full cost of tuition, fees, living expenses, and other educational costs before the institution can issue the documentation required for F-1 visa processing.
  • Applicants applying through the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service (AACOMAS) should submit either a Committee Evaluation Packet or three individual Letters of Recommendation (LORs). A recommendation letter from a licensed Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) is required to demonstrate the applicant’s clinical experience and suitability for osteopathic medical education.
