Course Overview
The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at OU College of Medicine is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME. The curriculum integrates organ-system basic sciences, clinical simulation, and rotations across Oklahoma City and Tulsa medical centers.
Graduates receive the title of Medical Doctor (MD), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.
Entry Requirements
- Bachelor degree from an accredited US/Canadian college required.
- MCAT required (509+ target); TOEFL iBT for non-native speakers.
- 1 semester Math/Stats; Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem, Physics, English.
- Admission is restricted exclusively to U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. The institution does not maintain a pathway for sponsoring F-1 student visas, making international applicants requiring visa sponsorship ineligible for the program.
- Applicants applying through the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service (AACOMAS) should submit either a Committee Evaluation Packet or three individual Letters of Recommendation (LORs). At least one recommendation letter from a licensed physician (Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)) is required to satisfy the institution’s admission requirements.
