General Medicine – CSUc

Course Overview

The 6-year General Medicine (MBBS equivalent) program at Chechen State University is designed to prepare future physicians through a curriculum that integrates biomedical sciences with progressive clinical education and practical training. Students begin by studying anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, and pharmacology before advancing into specialized clinical disciplines. Practical education is strengthened through anatomy laboratories, simulation centres, and clinical skills workshops that develop patient examination and diagnostic techniques from the early years.

Clinical rotations are conducted in affiliated hospitals where students receive supervised training in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, cardiology, neurology, infectious diseases, and emergency medicine. The curriculum also promotes preventive healthcare, evidence-based medicine, and ethical clinical practice while encouraging participation in scientific activities. Through extensive bedside teaching and structured internships, graduates acquire the practical competence and professional values expected of modern physicians.
