Course Overview

The 6-year General Medicine (MBBS equivalent) program at Krasnoyarsk State Medical University is structured to develop highly competent physicians through an integrated approach that combines medical science, simulation technologies, and advanced clinical practice. Students begin with anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, microbiology, pathology, and pharmacology before advancing into clinical diagnostics and specialized medical disciplines. Practical skills are strengthened through modern simulation centres, procedural laboratories, and standardized patient training that prepare students for real clinical environments.

Clinical rotations are conducted in affiliated multidisciplinary hospitals where students receive supervised experience in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, cardiology, neurology, oncology, anesthesiology, and intensive care. The curriculum encourages participation in research, evidence-based medicine, and interdisciplinary teamwork, enabling students to develop strong analytical and clinical reasoning skills. By graduation, students have completed comprehensive hospital-based training that prepares them for residency and professional medical practice.
