General Medicine – TSU

Course Overview

The General Medicine (MBBS equivalent) program at the Medical Institute of Tula State University combines classical medical sciences with modern educational technologies and multidisciplinary clinical training. Students receive comprehensive instruction in anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, and medical informatics during the early years while strengthening practical skills through laboratory classes and simulation-based learning.

As the curriculum progresses, students participate in structured clinical education across affiliated hospitals, where they gain supervised experience in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, neurology, cardiology, traumatology, and emergency medicine. The program encourages the application of evidence-based medicine, interdisciplinary teamwork, and digital healthcare tools to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient management. Research activities, elective clinical subjects, and community healthcare training further broaden students’ academic and professional development. Upon completion, graduates possess the clinical competence, communication skills, and practical experience required for postgraduate medical training.
