Course Overview

The 6-year General Medicine (MBBS equivalent) program at Tver State Medical University is designed to provide international students with a balanced medical education that combines scientific knowledge, practical skill development, and clinical experience. Students first complete comprehensive studies in anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, and medical psychology before progressing into clinical medicine. A distinguishing feature of the program is its emphasis on continuous practical training through anatomy laboratories, simulation centres, and structured clinical skills sessions that prepare students for patient care.

Clinical education is delivered in affiliated hospitals where students gain supervised experience in internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, cardiology, neurology, infectious diseases, and emergency medicine. The curriculum also includes community medicine, preventive healthcare, and medical ethics to promote holistic patient management. By integrating classroom learning with hospital-based training and clinical internships, the program equips graduates with the knowledge, confidence, and practical competence needed for future medical careers.
