Course Overview
The MSc Sustainable Development, Agri-Food & Co-operatives explores sustainable agricultural development, food systems, rural economies, and cooperative business models. Students study sustainable development policy, agri-food economics, environmental management, cooperative governance, food security, rural innovation, and global sustainability through research and interdisciplinary learning.
The programme develops strategic thinking, policy analysis, and leadership skills for promoting sustainable economic and environmental development. Students gain practical knowledge of cooperative organizations and sustainable food production systems. Graduates are prepared for careers in agri-food industries, sustainability consultancy, rural development, policy organizations, and international development.
Entry Requirements
- Certified copy of a recognized bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food Science, Business, or Social Sciences (minimum 60% or 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale).
- IELTS 6.5 (with no band lower than 6.0), TOEFL iBT 90, PTE 63, or Duolingo 120.
- Sustainability domain review and academic suitability assessment.
- Official university degree transcripts, updated CV/resume, two letters of recommendation, and statement of purpose.
- Valid passport copy, visa eligibility verification, and academic credential assessment.
