Course Overview
The MBChB programme is a 6-year medical degree integrating biomedical sciences, clinical medicine and an optional research-focused intercalated year. Students receive extensive clinical education across Scotland’s leading teaching hospitals.
The curriculum promotes evidence-based medicine, innovation and global health. Graduates are prepared for Foundation Training and academic or clinical careers worldwide.
Entry Requirements
- CBSE All India Senior School Certificate (AISSC) or CISCE Indian School Certificate (ISC): Minimum 85% overall in five Class XII subjects, with 85% or higher in English, Chemistry, and two of Biology, Mathematics or Physics. CBSE Applied Mathematics is accepted for the Mathematics requirement. Applicants meeting these CBSE/CISCE requirements are not required to submit an English language test. (University of Edinburgh)
- Entrance Exam: Competitive University Clinical Aptitude Test ( UCAT )score required + Qualified NEET-UG scorecard for Indian students as per NMC.
- Language & Interview: IELTS 7.5 overall (min 7.0 in each band) + Assessment / Interview evaluation.
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years of age at the start of clinical training.
- Health & Clearance: Occupational Health assessment, Enhanced DBS/police certificate, and valid passport.
