Course Overview
The MBChB programme offers a 5-year medical education integrating biomedical sciences, clinical medicine and digital healthcare technologies. Students gain practical experience through simulation laboratories and placements in teaching hospitals throughout Scotland.
The curriculum develops clinical reasoning, communication and leadership skills. Graduates are prepared for Foundation Training and specialist medical careers.
Entry Requirements
- Graduate Entry Medicine only. Applicants must hold a minimum UK 2:1 Honours degree (or international equivalent) in any discipline. Standard XII (10+2) alone is not accepted for entry to the MBBCh Graduate Entry Medicine programme. (Reddit)
- Entrance Exam: University Clinical Aptitude Test ( UCAT )required + Qualified NEET-UG scorecard required for Indian nationals per NMC rules.
- Language & Interview: IELTS 7.0 overall (min 7.0 in speaking/listening, 6.5 in others) + MMI.
- Age Limit: Must be 18 years of age by 1st October of admission year.
- Health & Clearance: Occupational Health clearance, DBS/Police check, valid passport, and transcript records.
