Course Overview
The MBChB programme is a 5-year undergraduate medical degree designed to develop competent, compassionate and patient-centred doctors. The curriculum integrates biomedical sciences, clinical medicine and simulation-based learning from the first year.
Students gain extensive clinical experience through NHS partner hospitals and community placements. Graduates are prepared for the UK Foundation Programme and postgraduate medical training, subject to regulatory requirements.
Entry Requirements
- Indian Students (Standard XII): 55% to 60% overall in CBSE / CISCE / State Boards. For competitive programs (like MBChB Medicine), a minimum of 85% overall (with 85%+ in Chemistry and Biology) is required. International Students:A-Levels: BBC – BBB (Standard undergraduate); AAA including Chemistry and Biology (Medicine).IB Diploma: 28–30 points (Standard); 36 points with Higher Level 6 in Chemistry and Biology (Medicine).
- Entrance Exam: Mandatory University Clinical Aptitude Test ( UCAT )score + Qualified NEET-UG scorecard required for Indian citizens under NMC rules.
- Language & Interview: IELTS 7.5 overall (min 7.0 in each band) + Multiple Mini Interview (MMI).
- Age Limit: Minimum 18 years of age at the start of clinical placements.
- Health & Clearance: Occupational Health clearance, Enhanced DBS check (or home police clearance), valid passport, and immunisation records.
