LLM International Human Rights – UCD
Course Overview
The LLM International Human Rights provides advanced knowledge of international human rights frameworks, legal protection mechanisms, and global justice issues. Students study international human rights law, humanitarian law, equality, refugee protection, international institutions, and human rights advocacy through critical legal analysis.
The programme develops research, policy evaluation, and advocacy skills needed to address human rights challenges. Students gain expertise in interpreting international legal standards and developing rights-based solutions. Graduates are prepared for careers in human rights organizations, international agencies, legal practice, public policy, and research.
Entry Requirements
- Certified copy of a recognized Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or law-heavy business degree (minimum 60% or 3.0 GPA).
- IELTS 6.5 (with no band lower than 6.0), TOEFL iBT 90, PTE 63, or Duolingo 120.
- Commercial law domain review and academic background evaluation.
- Official university degree transcripts, updated CV/resume, two letters of recommendation, and statement of purpose.
- Valid passport copy, visa eligibility verification, and academic credential assessment.
