Course Overview

The Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Program at TUNCOM is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by COCA. The curriculum integrates biomedical systems coursework, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM), simulation learning, and clinical clerkships in Nevada health networks.

Graduates receive the title of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (COMLEX-USA / USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • 10+4 accepted w/ evaluation; 90+ semester hours or Bachelor required.
  • MCAT required (506+ target); TOEFL iBT for foreign degrees.
  • Bio (8 Credit Hours), Gen Chem (8 Credit Hours), Org Chem (8 Credit Hours), Physics (8 Credit Hours), English (6 Credit Hours).
  • Admission is intended primarily for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. The institution does not currently have an established process for sponsoring F-1 student visas for international applicants seeking admission to the medical program.
  • Applicants applying through the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service (AACOMAS) should submit either a Committee Evaluation Packet or three individual Letters of Recommendation (LORs). A physician recommendation letter from a licensed MD or DO is required as part of the admission requirements.
