Course Overview

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at UM Miller School of Medicine is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME.

The NextGenMD curriculum integrates organ-system sciences, health systems science, scholarly research tracks, and clinical clerkships at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Graduates receive the title of Medical Doctor (MD), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • Bachelor degree from accredited institution; US coursework preferred.
  • MCAT required (514+ target); TOEFL iBT / IELTS required.
  • 1 semester Math/Stats; Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem, Physics, Behavioral Sci.
  • The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is open only to U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. The institution does not sponsor F-1 student visas for applicants seeking admission to this medical degree program.
  • Applicants applying through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) should submit either a Committee Letter Packet or three individual Letters of Recommendation (LORs) from faculty members, physicians, employers, or research mentors who can assess the applicant’s academic achievements, leadership qualities, and professional potential.
