Course Overview

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at University of Colorado School of Medicine is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME.

The Trek curriculum features a 1-year basic science core, longitudinal integrated clerkships, specialized clinical branches, and research. Graduates receive the title of Medical Doctor (MD), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • Bachelor degree from an accredited US/Canadian institution.
  • MCAT required (512+ target); TOEFL iBT for non-native speakers.
  • 1 semester Math/Stats; Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem, Physics, Writing.
  • The primary applicant pool consists of U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, and DACA recipients. While F-1 student visa sponsorship may be available in limited circumstances, such opportunities are uncommon and are evaluated individually based on institutional policies and applicant qualifications.
  • Applicants applying through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) should submit either a Pre-Health Committee Letter Packet or three individual Letters of Recommendation (LORs) from faculty members or professionals who can evaluate the applicant’s academic competence, integrity, leadership, and readiness for medical education.
