Course Overview

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at UConn School of Medicine is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME. The M-DELTA curriculum integrates case-based preclinical instruction, team-based learning, early clinical exposure, and rotations at UConn John Dempsey Hospital.

Graduates receive the title of Medical Doctor (MD), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • 90+ semester hours at an accredited US/Canadian college required.
  • MCAT required (512+ target); TOEFL iBT for foreign degrees.
  • 1 semester Math/Stats; Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem, Physics, Writing.
  • International applicants requiring F-1 student visas may apply after completing at least 90 semester credit hours at an accredited U.S. college or university. Applicants who meet this academic requirement are considered through the institution’s standard admissions process.
  • Applicants applying through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) should provide either a Pre-Health Committee Letter Packet or three individual faculty Letters of Recommendation (LORs), preferably including science faculty members who have directly taught the applicant and can evaluate their academic performance and preparedness for medical school.
