Entry Requirements

• 90+ semester hours at an accredited US/Canadian college required.
• MCAT required (509+ target); TOEFL iBT for foreign degrees.
• 1 semester Math/Stats; Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem, Physics, English.
• Admission is restricted to U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. As Alabama’s public medical school, the institution places strong emphasis on serving state residents and gives preference to qualified in-state applicants. F-1 student visa sponsorship is not available.
• Applicants applying through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) should submit either a Committee Letter Packet or three individual academic Letters of Recommendation (LORs) from faculty members who can provide a detailed evaluation of the applicant’s academic performance, professionalism, and readiness for medical education.
