Course Overview
The Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics integrates three complementary disciplines to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of public affairs, ethical decision-making, and economic systems. Students explore political institutions, philosophical reasoning, economic theory, public policy, and global governance while developing strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
The interdisciplinary curriculum encourages students to evaluate complex social, political, and economic challenges from multiple perspectives. Through research projects, debates, and policy analysis, students strengthen their communication and leadership abilities. Graduates are well prepared for careers in government, public policy, diplomacy, consulting, journalism, international organisations, and further academic study.
Entry Requirements
- Academic Records: Completion of 10 + 2 qualification with high academic standing (e.g., ATAR ~95 or equivalent).
- English Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 overall (min 6.0 in sub-scores) or equivalent.
- Prerequisites / Knowledge: HSC Mathematics Advanced or equivalent analytical aptitude.
- Application Materials: Secondary school transcripts and graduation certificate.
- Waterford Institute of TechnologyPersonal statement reflecting interest in political and economic theory.
