Course Overview

The MB, BCh, BAO programme is a comprehensive 5–6 year primary medical qualification delivered in English. The curriculum integrates biomedical sciences, clinical medicine, simulation-based learning and early patient exposure with extensive clinical training in affiliated teaching hospitals.

Students develop competencies in diagnosis, patient care, surgery, obstetrics, professionalism and medical research. Graduates are prepared for internship, postgraduate specialist training and medical licensure in Ireland and internationally, subject to national regulations.

Entry Requirements

  • minimum average score of 80% to 90% in Grade 12 / A-Levels / IB Diploma (with Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or Math)
  • HPAT-Ireland score (for EU/EEA applicants) or Casper Test / MCAT / GAMSAT (for GEM & International Direct Entry)
  • English Language Proficiency (IELTS Academic 6.5-7.0 or TOEFL equivalent)
  • Direct Application / Atlantic Bridge Application (North America) / CAO (EU)
  • GMC/NMC/ECFMG credential verification & Declaration of Comparability
