Course Overview
Georgian College’s Bachelor of Interior Design is a professional, CIDA-accredited degree program focused on spatial planning, interior architecture, sustainable materials, and human-centric design. Students work in design studios utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, and 3D visualization software to create functional residential, commercial, and institutional interiors.
Coursework covers building codes, lighting design, furniture history, and professional practice. The program includes a mandatory paid co-op work term with architectural and interior design firms. Graduates are prepared for professional interior design practice and licensing exams.
Entry Requirements
- OSSD with 6 Grade 12 U/M courses and a minimum 65% overall average
- Grade 12 Academic English (ENG4U, minimum 60%)
- Grade 12 Mathematics or Science (U/M course)
- Four additional Grade 12 U or M academic subjects
- Proof of English Language Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0) or TOEFL iBT 88
