Course Overview
Fanshawe College’s Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) program delivers comprehensive clinical education, patient care theory, pharmacology, and anatomy. Students practice complex nursing interventions in state-of-the-art, high-fidelity clinical simulation laboratories.
Hands-on clinical placements begin early in the program across hospitals, long-term care facilities, and community health agencies in Southwestern Ontario. The curriculum emphasizes evidence-based clinical reasoning, acute care, mental health nursing, and health equity. Graduates are eligible to write the NCLEX-RN exam to become Registered Nurses (RN).
Entry Requirements
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with 6 Grade 12 U/M courses and a competitive high average
- Grade 12 Academic English (ENG4U, minimum 65-75%)
- Grade 12 Biology (SBI4U) and Grade 12 Chemistry (SCH4U) (minimum 65-75% each)
- Grade 12 Math (U level, minimum 65-75%)
- Proof of English Proficiency: IELTS 7.0 overall with no band below 6.5
