Course Overview

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at Wake Forest University School of Medicine is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME.

The curriculum features organ-system preclinical blocks, health equity integration, clinical simulation, and clerkship rotations at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. Entry Requirements

  • 90+ semester hours at an accredited US/Canadian college required.
  • MCAT required (512+ target); TOEFL iBT for foreign degrees.
  • 1 semester Math/Stats; Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem, Physics, Writing.
  • International applicants, including those requiring F-1 student visa sponsorship, are eligible to apply. However, applicants must have successfully completed at least 90 semester credit hours of academic coursework at an accredited U.S. college or university before their application will be considered for admission.
  • Applicants applying through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) should submit either a Committee Letter Packet or three individual Letters of Recommendation (LORs) from professors, physicians, employers, research mentors, or supervisors who can provide a comprehensive evaluation of the applicant’s academic performance, professionalism, leadership qualities, and readiness for medical education.
