The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at UNMC College of Medicine is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME. The Training the Physician of Tomorrow curriculum integrates active learning preclinical modules, simulation, and clerkships at Nebraska Medicine.

Entry Requirements

  • Admission primarily favors U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. International applicants requiring F-1 student visas may be considered only in exceptional cases, typically after completing at least 90 semester credit hours at an accredited U.S. institution.
  • Applicants applying through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) should submit either a Committee Letter Packet or three individual Letters of Recommendation (LORs) from faculty members, physicians, employers, or research mentors who can provide a detailed evaluation of the applicant’s academic qualifications and professional potential.
