Course Overview

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at Universidad Central del Caribe is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME.

The curriculum combines basic health sciences, bilingual clinical training, community medicine, and clerkship rotations in Puerto Rico health networks. Graduates receive the title of Medical Doctor (MD), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • 10+4 accepted w/ evaluation; Bachelor degree required.
  • MCAT required (500+ target); Bilingual (Spanish & English) required.
  • 6 Credit Hours Math; Bio (8 Credit Hours), Gen Chem (8 Credit Hours), Org Chem (8 Credit Hours), Physics (8 Credit Hours).
  • International applicants, including F-1 student visa holders, are eligible to apply without additional nationality-based restrictions. All applicants are evaluated according to the institution’s standard academic and admissions requirements.
  • Applicants should submit their application through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) along with three Letters of Recommendation (LORs) consisting of two letters from science faculty members (such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Biochemistry professors) and one letter from a non-science faculty member (such as English, Humanities, Social Sciences, or similar disciplines) who can evaluate the applicant’s academic abilities and personal qualities.
