Course Overview

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at The Ohio State University College of Medicine is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME.

The Lead.Serve.Inspire (LSI) curriculum integrates foundational science, longitudinal clinical practice, and advanced rotations at OSU Wexner Medical Center. Graduates receive the title of Medical Doctor (MD), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • 90+ semester hours at an accredited US/Canadian college or Bachelor required.
  • MCAT required (515+ target); TOEFL iBT for foreign degrees.
  • 1 semester Math/Stats; Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem, Biochem, Physics.
  • The institution primarily admits U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. International applicants requiring F-1 visas may be considered only after completing a minimum of 90 semester credit hours at an accredited U.S. college or university before submitting their application.
  • Applicants applying through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) should submit either a Pre-Health Committee Letter Packet or three individual faculty Letters of Recommendation (LORs), preferably from science faculty members who have taught the applicant and can evaluate their academic ability and readiness for medical education.
