Course Overview

The Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Program at RVUCOM (Southern Utah) is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by COCA. The curriculum integrates biomedical coursework, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM), clinical simulation, and hospital rotations in Utah and nearby states.

Graduates receive the title of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (COMLEX-USA / USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • 10+4 accepted w/ evaluation; 90+ semester hours or Bachelor required.
  • MCAT required (505+ target); TOEFL iBT for foreign degrees.
  • Bio (8 Credit Hours), Gen Chem (8 Credit Hours), Org Chem (8 Credit Hours), Physics (8 Credit Hours), English (6 Credit Hours).
  • Admission is focused on U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. The institution prioritizes applicants from the Mountain West region and does not currently offer an F-1 visa sponsorship pathway.
  • Applicants applying through AACOMAS (American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service) should submit either a Committee Evaluation Packet or three Letters of Recommendation (LORs). At least one recommendation letter from a licensed physician (Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)) is required.
