Course Overview

The Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Program at RVUCOM (Colorado) is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by COCA. The curriculum combines systems-based medical education, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM), specialized tracks (military, rural, global), and clinical rotations.

Graduates receive the title of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (COMLEX-USA / USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • 10+4 accepted w/ evaluation; 90+ semester hours or Bachelor required.
  • MCAT required (506+ target); TOEFL iBT for foreign degrees.
  • Bio (8 Credit Hours), Gen Chem (8 Credit Hours), Org Chem (8 Credit Hours), Physics (8 Credit Hours), English (6 Credit Hours).
  • Admissions primarily serve U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. The institution does not currently provide sponsorship for F-1 student visas for its medical degree program.
  • Applicants applying through AACOMAS (American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service) should submit either a Committee Evaluation Packet or three Letters of Recommendation (LORs). At least one recommendation letter from a licensed physician (Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)) is required.
