Course Overview

The Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Program at PCOM Georgia is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by COCA. The curriculum combines preclinical sciences, Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM), primary care preparation, and hospital rotations throughout Georgia.

Graduates receive the title of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (COMLEX-USA / USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • 10+4 accepted w/ evaluation; 90+ semester hours or Bachelor required.
  • MCAT required (505+ target); TOEFL iBT for foreign degrees.
  • Bio (8 Credit Hours), Gen Chem (8 Credit Hours), Org Chem (8 Credit Hours), Physics (8 Credit Hours), English (6 Credit Hours).
  • Admissions primarily focus on U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. The institution currently does not maintain an active program for sponsoring F-1 student visas for international medical students.
  • Applicants applying through AACOMAS (American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine Application Service) should provide either a Committee Evaluation Packet or three Letters of Recommendation (LORs). A recommendation letter from a licensed Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) is strongly recommended because it demonstrates meaningful clinical exposure and understanding of the medical profession.
