Course Overview
The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at Harvard Medical School is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME. The curriculum (Pathways/HST) integrates foundational biomedical science, early clinical clerkships, scholarly research project work, and clinical training in Harvard-affiliated world-class teaching hospitals.
Graduates receive the title of Medical Doctor (MD), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.
Entry Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree prior to matriculation with min 3.50 GPA (Avg ~3.90). Prerequisites: Biology (8 hrs), Chemistry/Biochemistry (16 hrs), Physics (8 hrs) with labs; Writing/Humanities (6 hrs), Math/Statistics.
- MCAT required (Min score 508; Avg score ~519).
- Open to US Citizens, Permanent Residents, DACA, and International students (F-1 visa holders eligible; min 1 year US/Canadian coursework required).
- Demonstrated English proficiency in coursework/interview.
- AMCAS portal; Min 3 to Max 6 LORs (At least 2 Science faculty, 1 Non-science); Harvard secondary application.
