About Siberian State Medical University

Siberian State Medical University (SibMed), established in 1888 as the Faculty of Medicine of the Imperial Tomsk University, is widely recognized as one of Russia’s top flagship medical research institutions. Located in Tomsk, SibMed is distinguished by owning and operating its own multidisciplinary university hospital complex, which treats over 100,000 patients annually from across the country.

Additionally, SibMed houses a medical simulation center accredited by the European Society for Simulation in Medicine (SESAM) and the largest specialized medical library in Siberia.
