Course Overview

The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at Boonshoft School of Medicine is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME.

The WrightCurriculum features active learning preclinical modules, peer collaboration, and clinical clerkship rotations across Dayton-area hospital networks. Graduates receive the title of Medical Doctor (MD), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.

Entry Requirements

  • 90+ semester hours from an accredited US college required.
  • MCAT required (508+ target); TOEFL iBT for non-native speakers.
  • 1 semester Math/Stats; Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem, Physics, English.
  • Only U.S. Citizens and U.S. Permanent Residents are eligible for admission. The institution does not provide an F-1 student visa sponsorship pathway for its medical degree program, and international applicants requiring such sponsorship are therefore ineligible to apply.
  • Applicants applying through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) should provide either a Pre-Health Committee Letter Packet or three to five individual Letters of Recommendation (LORs) from faculty members, physicians, employers, research mentors, or supervisors who can provide a comprehensive assessment of the applicant’s academic achievements, leadership qualities, integrity, and potential for success in medical school.
