The Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program at University of Maryland School of Medicine is a 4-year full-time graduate medical degree accredited by the LCME.
The Renaissance Curriculum features integrated pre-clinical systems, early clinical practice, and clerkships at UMMC and Shock Trauma Center. Graduates receive the title of Medical Doctor (MD), complying with U.S. licensing requirements (USMLE) and ACGME residency eligibility.
Entry Requirements
- 10+4 recognized; requires 90+ credits at an accredited US/Canadian college.
- MCAT required (513+ target); TOEFL iBT / IELTS if background non-English.
- 1 semester Math/Stats; Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem, Physics, Writing.
- International applicants are eligible to apply provided they have completed either a full undergraduate degree or a substantial amount of academic coursework at an accredited U.S. or Canadian institution before applying.
- Applicants applying through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) should provide either a Committee Letter or three to four individual academic Letters of Recommendation (LORs) from professors who have directly instructed the applicant and can provide a comprehensive evaluation of their academic ability and readiness for medical school.
