Entry Requirements

• 90+ semester hours from an accredited US college required.
• MCAT required (508+ target); TOEFL iBT for non-native speakers.
• 1 semester Math/Stats; Bio, Gen Chem, Org Chem, Physics, English.
• Admission is limited to U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents. As South Dakota’s public medical school, the institution gives strong priority to qualified in-state applicants in accordance with its public service mission.
• Applicants applying through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS) should provide either a Committee Letter Packet or three individual academic Letters of Recommendation (LORs) written by faculty members who have taught the applicant and can evaluate their academic abilities, professionalism, and readiness for medical training.
