Course Overview
The MBChB programme is a 5-year undergraduate medical degree combining scientific education with extensive clinical learning. Students gain practical experience through simulation laboratories and NHS hospital placements across Scotland.
The curriculum develops diagnostic ability, professionalism and research skills. Graduates are prepared for Foundation Training and postgraduate specialization.
Entry Requirements
- A Levels: AAA including Biology and Chemistry. Cardiff accepts international qualifications that are officially assessed as equivalent to these A Level requirements. The Medicine admissions office assesses country-specific qualifications individually. (Cardiff University)
- Entrance Exam: University Clinical Aptitude Test ( UCAT )required + Qualified NEET-UG scorecard required for Indian students as per NMC regulations.
- Language & Interview: IELTS 7.0 overall (min 7.0 in speaking, 6.0 in others) + MMI assessment.
- Age Limit: Minimum 17.5 to 18 years of age at the start of the course.
- Health & Clearance: Health declaration screening, Police/DBS check, valid passport, and academic transcripts.
