MD (Doctor of Medicine) – AMI

Course Overview

The Armenian Medical Institute offers a 6-year English-medium MD/MBBS degree structured around European credit transfer systems (ECTS) and modern modular learning. The curriculum is split into three phases: foundational pre-clinical training in microbiology and physiology, paraclinical studies in pharmacology and general pathology, and upper-level clinical rotations.

AMI emphasizes small class sizes and a low student-to-faculty ratio, allowing for direct bedside mentoring during clinical rounds. Bedside clerkships are conducted across Yerevan’s primary healthcare facilities, most notably through affiliations with the Erebuni Medical Center, where students participate in patient evaluations, surgical assistance, and outpatient care. The program incorporates targeted exam prep modules for international screening tests alongside its core medical curriculum.
