Course Overview
Trent University’s Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program delivers comprehensive professional training in social welfare policy, social work theory, human behavior, anti-oppressive practice, and clinical intervention skills.
Students engage in critical analysis of systemic social inequalities and complete supervised field practice placements in community agencies and healthcare settings. The curriculum emphasizes ethical practice and social justice. Graduates are fully eligible for professional social work registration and clinical practice.
Entry Requirements
- OSSD with 6 Grade 12 U/M courses (minimum 70% average)
- Grade 12 Academic English (ENG4U, minimum 65%)
- Four additional Grade 12 U/M academic courses
- Statement of intent and personal profile
- Proof of English Language Proficiency: IELTS 6.5 overall (no band below 6.0)
